HR & Payroll Services in Bangladesh

Payroll and salary TDS, recruitment, headhunting, contractual staffing, onboarding and HR compliance.

Overview

Employers in Bangladesh must comply with the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 and Labour Rules 2015, deduct tax at source from salaries under the Income Tax Act 2023, maintain employment records, and manage provident fund, gratuity and workers participation fund obligations where they apply. We run payroll, compute and deposit salary TDS, draft HR policies and contracts, recruit and onboard staff, and provide contractual and remote staffing solutions for local and foreign businesses.

Common questions

What is workforce planning in a Bangladesh context?

It is deciding in advance how many people you need, in which roles and on which legal terms. In Bangladesh that means aligning each role with a worker category in the Labour Act 2006, costing statutory benefits and bonuses, and checking which duties apply as headcount grows, rather than simply setting a salary budget.

What are the legal working hours in Bangladesh?

Under the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006, an adult worker ordinarily works up to eight hours a day and 48 hours a week. Overtime is allowed within limits set by the Act and must be paid at double the ordinary rate. Rest intervals and a weekly holiday are also mandatory.

Is staff training mandatory in Bangladesh?

Certain training is effectively mandatory. The Labour Act 2006 and Labour Rules 2015 require employers to protect workers' health and safety, which includes informing and training them on hazards, fire safety and safe work. Inspectors expect documented evidence. Skills training beyond that is at the employer's discretion.

What are HR services?

HR services are the ongoing administrative and compliance tasks of human resources: letters, records, leave, payroll inputs, discipline and exits. When outsourced, an external team performs these tasks for your business each month, usually for a fixed fee, so you do not need a full in-house HR department to stay organised and compliant.

What is the difference between headhunting and recruitment?

Recruitment usually advertises a role and selects from applicants. Headhunting actively identifies and approaches specific people, most of whom are not looking for a job, and is used for senior or scarce roles. It is slower and more research-heavy but reaches candidates that advertising never reaches.

What do payroll services include in Bangladesh?

They typically include salary calculation, overtime and bonus processing, statutory and voluntary deductions, tax deduction at source on salaries, payslips, bank transfer files, provident fund and gratuity schedules, final settlements, and the periodic tax compliance that goes with salary payments. Scope can be adjusted to what your team already handles.
